Festive Potato Curry


This - a spicy, thick curry- tastes very good with Puri. It's a nice dish one can prepare using very basic and readily available ingredients in the kitchen. Here is a quick and easy way to please your guests with the royal dish.

Ingredients

  1. Onion 1 medium size
  2. Curry leaves 4-5
  3. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  4. Cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
  5. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  6. Coriander Powder - 1tsp
  7. Chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  8. Salt - to taste
  9. Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  10. Pasta or tomato sauce - 3 tsp
  11. Ginger-garlic paste -1 tsp
  12. Potatoes - 4 medium size
  13. Vegetable oil
Recipe
  1. Finely chop onions.
  2. Boil the potatoes. Peel and cut into equal sized cubes.
  3. Fry the potato cubes in sufficient oil and keep aside.
  4. In the same oil, add cumin seeds and onion. Fry till the onion is transparent and soft.
  5. Add curry leaves, turmeric and pasta or tomato sauce. Fry till all the water evaporates.
  6. Add chili powder.Fry for another minute.
  7. Then add the fried potatoes, cumin powder, coriander powder,garam masala, salt and sugar.
  8. Add a cup of warm water and cook covered on slow flame.
  9. Once cooked garnish with chopped coriander.

We would like to have meti laddu ...with the special item you specified ..round, thin, width up 3 cm while dry fruit :)

that specialitem in Methi laddoo is called Godambi :)
